WhoZA Dog.Com begun in 2007 as a place to provide an outlet for people to express themselves freely.
Since WhoZA Dog.Com's birth we have undergone many challenges. These challenges include litigation by the Queensland Labor President (Mr. Andrew Dettmer) - Mr. Dettmer attempted to sue WhoZA Dog.Com for $600,000.00 for posts that were posted on this site about him.
Following the litigation attempt by Mr. Dettmer we then taken to the cleaners by the Herald Sun in Melbourne. The Herald Sun declared war on WhoZA Dog.Com and a barrage or media attention followed.
Why Is Free Speech So Important ?
Freedom of speech is probably one of the most important civil liberties in a democratic society. Freedom of speech entitles the citizen to say or write whatever is there in their minds. This means that people have the right to openly criticise the government or other powerful institutions of their country.
